Moving right around the color wheel to another color I am loving this season is Kelly Green. I got another cute top at Target the other weekend in this hue.
Here are some examples of the color in action.
This is from Sarah Richardson, my favorite Canadian.
Keeping with the color theme, lets talk chartreuse. We had a cold front come through the beginning of the week and I got a new pull over for lounging with leggings...
From Target
It is described as luscious lime and has a chartreuse appearance in person. It got me thinking about the color and I found some lovely uses.
Hi.My name is Beth and I am addicted to plates.Originally, I had a vision to create a plate display in my living room.I started looking and would get a plate here and there and amassed several for the project.Once I narrowed my design down, I hung them and I am please with the end result.
Plate display
I had a couple of plates left over and I have assimilated them into the rest of the house. My problem is this, I do not need any more plates but the desire to buy them is still there and very much alive.I bought one this weekend at a going-out-of-business sale because the deal was too good to pass up.I needed to get this out there and maybe by recognizing I have a problem, I can start down the road to recovery.
I love this vignette.I think it is representative of the things both Hannah and I love, mixing old things with new.It includes blue and white, this is a classic chinoiserie element that is timeless, it is tradition and modern all at the same time. The nook also has beautiful pops of coral in the flowers and the coral on Lucite bases. Then it has a nod to the more modern malachite boxes.Last but certainly not least, is the lovely wallpaper lining the back of the nook. This is sweet and gives the space a soft and modern geometric element. This is a wonderful styling example of items and color that is inspiration for designing on a large scale like the color story of a room or on a small scale such as items for a tablescape.
We have decided that we are going to bite the bullet and start a business! We want to put to use, our passion for decorating and home decor. We are trying to start small and build from there. As Hannah and I both work, Monday- Friday, 9-5. We decided it is best to start with consigning items. We have started the process of looking for a place and getting items to put in the space. We are so excited and overwhelmed in the same instance! This blog will chronicle our entrepreneurial venture, our general love of decor, designer's beautiful aesthetics and our quest to beautify our personal living spaces as well as future client's spaces. Looking forward to having you watch us, as we start our journey!
